Instead of pilgrims or turkeys, this all-chocolate Thanksgiving cake features a harvest theme, complete with a bushel basket filled with moss, leaves, fondant pumpkins and fondant apples. I liked the challenge of piping the chocolate buttercream in a basketweave pattern. I had some extra batter and buttercream so I also created a dozen cupcakes to look like small baskets and my mom donated them to a soup kitchen where she volunteered. I am thankful for everyone who has trusted me to make their celebrations extra special with my cakes, cookies and other treats this year!
