This month, two of my favorite people celebrated birthdays: my Grandpa and my choreographer, Janice. Since Janice is the "queen" of my teen acting troupe, I made her a birthday cake with a gold crown accent. She always asks for vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream, so that's what I made her. I used a custom blue sprinkle mix because blue is her favorite color, and added some black music notes because we are in the middle of rehearsals for our musical, Seussical.
For my grandpa, I made chocolate cupcakes with buttercream frosting, and created a custom sprinkle mix of pink and lavender candies, blue pearls, and yellow dots. My dad thought the pastel color scheme wasn't manly enough but I liked it...and my grandpa did, too!
