As I mentioned previously, my teen acting troupe put on Seussical the Musical this year. Since I always like to donate treats to sell at the concession stand, this year I decided to make Cat in the Hat cupcakes and Horton's Clover cake pops. Unfortunately, I didn't get any photos of the Cat in the Hat cupcakes, but they were vanilla cakes topped with a blue buttercream base and a red-and-white swirl of buttercream to evoke the Cat in the Hat.
Pictured here are the colorful Clover cake pops. I went with chocolate cake and buttercream to make the cake pops, then dipped them in colorful candy melts and rolled them in the matching shade of sugar sand. My director kept sneaking some, until he finally broke down and paid me to make him two dozen of his own cake pops because he said they were so addictive!
