My head of school once again asked me to make sugar cookies decorated with silver sanded sugar for an end-of-year event celebrating retirees and employees with 25 years of service to the school. Last year I put the cookies in silver tins, but this year I went with elegant black boxes with see-through lids to show the cookies off. I used maroon paper shred to cushion them and maroon ribbon to finish the boxes off since maroon and gray are our school colors. I was happy to hear from one of the honorees that he really loved the cookies. Also, I made vegan sugar cookies for the first time for one of the recipients so I hope she enjoyed them!
