Two years ago my dean asked me to make Halloween sugar cookies for my classmates, and this year, she asked me to help her create a surprise for them once again. She asked me to make cookies for everyone, which we originally were going to hand out during one of our in-person class days. Unfortunately, our last week of school wound up having to be held remotely, so I had to package up and ship all 150 cookies! (The two postal workers probably wanted to punch us when we showed up with all of these packages to be mailed...we bought them donuts to make it a little less painful!)
These are hot cocoa flavored cookies, basically chocolate sugar cookies with dried marshmallows in the dough. The are decorated to look like mugs of hot cocoa, with whipped cream and actual dried marshmallows included. A small snowflake cookie was included in each package for "dunking". I went with 6 different mug designs and a rainbow of colors: reds, blues, greens, purple, pink, teal, orange, yellow, etc.
I did hear from some of my friends that the cookies arrived in one piece and they tasted yummy, so I am happy for that!
