Term Paper Cupcakes

At my school, the entire 10th-grade does this major history term paper, and it's always an occasion to celebrate once it's done! So, one of the history teachers asked me to make cupcakes for her students to commemorate the submission of their papers. These chocolate cupcakes with buttercream frosting are topped with fondant term papers, handpainted with edible food dye. We went with a smiley face instead of a grade on the paper ... hey, not everyone can get an A!
